 Alumni Profile – Magdey Abdullah, Class of 2003 


Magdey, a 2003 graduate of ASD, is currently an Associate with the law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York, NY. After graduating from Harvard in 2007, Magdey joined the Obama presidential campaign, where he helped manage voter persuasion and mobilization efforts across seven states in the primary and general elections, including New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Michigan. Magdey subsequently served in the Obama administration as Deputy Chief of Staff for Housing and Community Facilities programs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Agency, where he designed and implemented federal community and economic development policies for rural America. After graduating from Yale Law School in 2014, Magdey joined Simpson Thacher, where he works on corporate litigation matters, including securities lawsuits. Magdey's pro bono practice has focused on immigration issues, including working to resettle refugees from the Middle East through the International Refugee Assistance Project.

Andie Condie (2015) recently competed in a track & field event at the University of Washington in Seattle and Max Hazel (2015) and Saniah Naim (2015) were able to be there to cheer on their friend and former classmate!! Go Dragons!!
